SAT Test Centres in Nepal 2026: Official Search Guide
Use the College Board search for the chosen date, compare more than one practical Nepal location and verify the registered centre again before test day.
Search by date and confirm the registered centre rather than copying an old list
A school that hosted one SAT administration is not guaranteed to host the next one or to have a seat when a student registers.
Start with the official SAT Registration page and its Test Center Search. College Board explains that students can search for places offering the SAT and select a specific location during registration. Search the intended date first because a centre can appear for one administration and not another. An old institute poster, map pin or social-media list is not reliable proof of current availability.
Consider multiple locations. College Board notes that not all test centres have available seats and that live availability appears during registration. Compare travel time, route reliability, reporting time and the safety of an early-morning journey. A centre that looks closest on a map may be less practical after traffic, road conditions or transport connections are considered. Keep a second acceptable location and possibly a second date in mind before payment.
Confirm the centre only from the completed registration and admission ticket. Save the test-centre name, address and code exactly as displayed and avoid assuming that a familiar campus entrance will be used. During the week before the test, complete Bluebook exam setup and obtain the admission ticket. Review the arrival time and address on that ticket, then plan the journey to arrive early without relying on last-minute navigation.
Check for closures and changes. College Board says test centres may close or change on short notice, including on test day, and its closing data is updated every three hours. Search the official Test Center Closings page the night before and morning of the test, review recent College Board messages and confirm that the account contact information is current. Only fully closed centres may appear, so also follow any direct update linked to the student’s registration.
Do not contact or pay an unofficial person for a “reserved” seat. A visible centre name does not create inventory outside the College Board registration system. If a preferred location is unavailable, consider another practical centre or date. Changing a centre after registration can involve a deadline and fee, while changing the test date requires cancellation and a new registration under current rules. Verify the live policy before acting.
MKS Education can help a student connect the centre and date to a realistic preparation calendar through physical, online and hybrid SAT classes, recordings for every mode, iOS and Android practice, physical books, an eight-week guided course, six-month access and continued support. Students needing more repetition may join multiple suitable classes without another class charge, subject to schedule and seats. MKS cannot create College Board test-centre inventory or prevent a closure.
Diagnose first
Use a timed Bluebook practice result and a domain-level error log instead of choosing a plan from a guessed score.
Match the goal
Connect the test date, score decision and preparation schedule to the real university and scholarship timeline.
Verify claims
Use College Board and official university pages for changing rules, dates, fees, formats and score-use policies.
Turn the decision into checks you can verify
Save the source URL and the date you checked it. A clear table is more reliable than memory or a verbal promise.
| Check | Why it matters | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Official centre search | Host locations can change by date. | College Board SAT Test Center Search. |

Practical next steps
- Search the official centre tool for the exact intended test date.
- Compare at least two realistic locations before beginning payment.
- Save the completed-registration centre name address and code.
- Check the official closing page the night before and morning of the test.
Mistakes to avoid
- Do not rely on an old static list of Nepal SAT centres.
- Do not assume search visibility means a seat is available.
- Do not travel only from a map pin without checking the admission ticket.
- Do not pay an unofficial person promising access to hidden seats.
Prepare for the digital SAT that students actually take
College Board states that the SAT contains a 64-minute Reading and Writing section and a 70-minute Math section. Each has two adaptive modules, with a 10-minute break between the sections.
Reading and Writing
- 54 questions across two 32-minute modules.
- Build information and ideas, craft and structure, expression of ideas and standard English conventions.
- Review why the correct answer is supported and why each close alternative fails.
- Track both accuracy and time by domain before relying on full-test averages.
Math
- 44 questions across two 35-minute modules.
- Build Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-Solving and Data Analysis, Geometry and Trigonometry.
- Choose deliberately between mental work, algebra and the built-in graphing calculator.
- Review conceptual, translation, calculator and careless-error patterns separately.
Build your SAT plan from real diagnostic evidence
Bring your target universities, earliest deadline, preferred test date and a recent Bluebook practice result. MKS Education can help organise an eight-week guided plan with flexible learning modes, recordings, app practice, books, six-month access and continued support.
