SAT Exam Fee in Nepal 2026: International Registration Cost
Separate the College Board test payment from a local preparation-course fee and verify every optional charge on the live official page before checkout.
The official SAT cost is a dollar payment with possible additional services
A precise Nepal-rupee total cannot remain accurate when the exchange rate, card conversion, bank charges and official College Board fees can change.
College Board’s international-fees page currently lists a $68 SAT registration fee and a $43 international fee for students testing outside the United States, for a standard $111 total before any other applicable charge. This is separate from the fee paid to a Nepal preparation institute. Use the live checkout and official fee page as the final authority because College Board can update pricing, policies and the period covered by a fee table.
Some services add cost. College Board currently lists a $38 late-registration fee, $34 to change a test centre, $34 for cancellation by the change deadline and $44 for late cancellation. A test-centre fee of $24 applies only at select listed locations. Nepal is not shown in the current published list of centres known to charge that fee, but the page advises contacting the centre for the latest information. Do not assume that absence from a list can never change.
Score services have separate prices. The current page lists $15 for an additional score report, $31 for a rush report in addition to the report fee, $15 to receive scores by phone, $35 for archived scores and $55 for score verification. College Board states that the first four score reports are free when ordered by nine days after the test date. Students should decide score sends from current university policies rather than paying for reports a university does not need.
Build a Nepal budget without inventing a fixed exchange rate. Keep the official dollar amount as one line, then ask the card issuer about the live conversion rate, foreign-transaction charge and any authentication requirement. A failed payment near the deadline can risk the seat or create a late fee. Complete registration early, save the receipt and check that the College Board account shows a completed registration rather than only a bank alert.
Keep preparation cost in a different line. A local course should clearly state guided weeks, class schedule, Math and Reading and Writing teaching, mock review, recordings, app access, books and support period. Free College Board resources include Bluebook practice and official preparation, so the institute’s value should come from diagnosis, teaching, feedback, accountability and correction rather than from claiming ownership of official free materials.
MKS Education provides physical, online and hybrid SAT classes, recordings for every mode, iOS and Android app practice, physical books, an eight-week guided course, six-month access and continued support. Students who need more repetition may join multiple suitable classes without another class charge, subject to schedule and seats. Ask MKS for the current preparation fee in writing; the official SAT test fee is paid separately to College Board.
Diagnose first
Use a timed Bluebook practice result and a domain-level error log instead of choosing a plan from a guessed score.
Match the goal
Connect the test date, score decision and preparation schedule to the real university and scholarship timeline.
Verify claims
Use College Board and official university pages for changing rules, dates, fees, formats and score-use policies.
Turn the decision into checks you can verify
Save the source URL and the date you checked it. A clear table is more reliable than memory or a verbal promise.

Practical next steps
- Open the international-fees page on the day you plan to pay.
- Keep test registration course preparation and application costs on separate budget lines.
- Ask the card issuer about conversion foreign-transaction and authentication charges.
- Save the College Board receipt and confirm registration status in the account.
Mistakes to avoid
- Do not convert an old dollar fee with an old Nepal-rupee exchange rate.
- Do not confuse a local SAT course fee with the official exam fee.
- Do not wait for the final deadline if a payment or seat issue could occur.
- Do not buy score services before checking each university’s current requirement.
Prepare for the digital SAT that students actually take
College Board states that the SAT contains a 64-minute Reading and Writing section and a 70-minute Math section. Each has two adaptive modules, with a 10-minute break between the sections.
Reading and Writing
- 54 questions across two 32-minute modules.
- Build information and ideas, craft and structure, expression of ideas and standard English conventions.
- Review why the correct answer is supported and why each close alternative fails.
- Track both accuracy and time by domain before relying on full-test averages.
Math
- 44 questions across two 35-minute modules.
- Build Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-Solving and Data Analysis, Geometry and Trigonometry.
- Choose deliberately between mental work, algebra and the built-in graphing calculator.
- Review conceptual, translation, calculator and careless-error patterns separately.
