Current official dates

A useful SAT date fits registration preparation and application timing

The nearest available date is not automatically the best date when a student still needs diagnostic work or requires scores before a university deadline.

For the 2026–2027 testing year, College Board publishes weekend dates that apply to both U.S. and international students. The listed dates are August 22, September 12, October 3, November 7 and December 5 in 2026, then March 6, May 1 and June 5 in 2027. Registration for fall 2026 dates is open at the time of this fact-check. Treat the live dates-and-deadlines page as the final source rather than relying on an old social-media image.

Read three dates for every administration: test day, regular registration deadline and the deadline for changes, regular cancellation and late registration. All listed deadlines expire at 11:59 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time, not Nepal time. Convert the deadline carefully and complete payment earlier so a time-zone mistake, card problem or unavailable centre does not turn a regular registration into a late registration or missed date.

A published test date does not guarantee a seat at a preferred Nepal centre. College Board shows available locations during registration, and availability can change as students book. Search more than one suitable location and consider a different test date when the practical journey is unsafe or unrealistic. Do not send payment or personal documents to an unofficial person promising a hidden seat; use the student’s College Board account and official registration flow.

Work backwards from the earliest university, financial-aid or scholarship deadline that may use the score. Leave time for score release, any college processing and a thoughtful retake only if later evidence supports one. College Board publishes separate score-release information, and processing after a score reaches a college may vary. The university’s current official admission page remains the authority on whether SAT scores are required, optional, considered or not used.

Match the date to preparation evidence. Complete a Bluebook diagnostic, identify priority domains and map school examinations, applications and travel. An eight-week guided course can provide a focused cycle of learning, timed modules and mock review, but some starting levels need a longer runway. Students requesting a College Board loan device must register and request the device at least thirty days before test day, which can be earlier than the normal registration deadline.

MKS Education can help organise the preparation timeline through physical, online and hybrid SAT classes, recordings for every mode, iOS and Android practice, physical books, an eight-week guided course, six-month access and continued support. Students needing more repetition may join multiple suitable classes without another class charge, subject to schedule and seats. MKS does not control College Board dates, test-centre seats, scores, admission or scholarships.

Diagnose first

Use a timed Bluebook practice result and a domain-level error log instead of choosing a plan from a guessed score.

Match the goal

Connect the test date, score decision and preparation schedule to the real university and scholarship timeline.

Verify claims

Use College Board and official university pages for changing rules, dates, fees, formats and score-use policies.

Turn the decision into checks you can verify

Save the source URL and the date you checked it. A clear table is more reliable than memory or a verbal promise.

Connected preparation

What makes the MKS SAT learning system different

The live class, revision, independent practice and extended support work together instead of ending on the last teaching day.

Physical online and hybrid

Choose a suitable mode and confirm the current timetable; the system supports Kathmandu and outside-Kathmandu learners.

Recordings in every mode

Physical, online and hybrid students can revisit difficult concepts and recover missed work.

iOS and Android practice

Use structured SAT practice and review through the MKS digital learning system outside class.

Physical books

Follow organised print material alongside app practice, teacher guidance and official digital resources.

Eight weeks plus six months

Eight weeks of guided teaching connects to six-month learning access and continued support.

Multiple suitable classes

Students needing more repetition may join suitable classes without another class charge, subject to the current schedule and seats.

Practical next steps

  • Open the live College Board calendar and save the date you checked it.
  • Confirm the earliest university deadline and expected score-use policy.
  • Search official Nepal test-centre availability during registration.
  • Register early and keep the confirmation and later admission ticket securely.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Do not use Nepal time when reading a U.S. Eastern Time deadline.
  • Do not assume a published date guarantees a nearby available centre.
  • Do not choose a test date before checking diagnostic readiness and school exams.
  • Do not trust an unofficial agent offering a hidden seat or guaranteed result.
Current test context

Prepare for the digital SAT that students actually take

College Board states that the SAT contains a 64-minute Reading and Writing section and a 70-minute Math section. Each has two adaptive modules, with a 10-minute break between the sections.

Reading and Writing

  • 54 questions across two 32-minute modules.
  • Build information and ideas, craft and structure, expression of ideas and standard English conventions.
  • Review why the correct answer is supported and why each close alternative fails.
  • Track both accuracy and time by domain before relying on full-test averages.

Math

  • 44 questions across two 35-minute modules.
  • Build Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-Solving and Data Analysis, Geometry and Trigonometry.
  • Choose deliberately between mental work, algebra and the built-in graphing calculator.
  • Review conceptual, translation, calculator and careless-error patterns separately.
