IELTS Study Plan for 30 Days: Nepali Student Guide
A month can organise focused improvement when the target is realistic, but it cannot replace the English foundation or guarantee a required band.
Compress the learning cycle without skipping diagnosis or review
A short plan works only when every practice task produces a correction and every correction is tested again on unfamiliar material.
Days 1–3 establish the baseline. Confirm Academic or General Training, write the overall and section requirements, and complete a realistic diagnostic. Use the official IELTS sample questions to understand the task types and computer workflow. Record raw marks, criterion-level Writing observations, a Speaking recording and the application deadline.
Days 4–10 repair methods. In Listening, review distractors, spelling, word limits and paraphrases. In Reading, separate locating evidence from understanding the question instruction. Complete short sets before adding time pressure. For Writing, learn the task purpose and assessment criteria; for Speaking, practise clear unscripted development across all three parts rather than memorising answers.
Days 11–17 apply feedback. Submit complete Writing tasks, mark one priority from each criterion and produce a targeted rewrite. Record Speaking answers, identify a repeated fluency, vocabulary, grammar or pronunciation issue and answer new questions after correction. Keep an error log for receptive skills with the cause, fix and later retest evidence.
Days 18–23 add realistic timing. Complete full Listening and Reading sections, a 60-minute Writing session and an 11–14 minute Speaking simulation on separate review cycles. The official Academic test includes four sections and about 2 hours 45 minutes in total, so stamina and computer familiarity matter. Avoid daily full tests that leave no time to correct patterns.
Days 24–30 use two or three decision-point mocks with detailed review between them. Compare the four-section pattern with the real requirement and check whether performance is repeatable. If one mock peaks but the others remain below target, extend preparation. If the evidence is stable, choose a test date with enough time for the result and any application contingency.
Start from evidence
Match the class plan to your current score profile, application requirement and realistic test date.
Review the feedback
Useful feedback explains the error, links it to an IELTS criterion and gives a concrete next practice step.
Prepare for delivery
Build language skill and the computer workflow together before a timed official test.
Use this checklist before paying or booking
Ask the centre for current written information. The table turns general marketing language into verifiable questions.
| Check | Why it matters | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Days 1–3 | Requirement and four-skill diagnostic. | Baseline scores error samples and deadline. |
| Days 4–6 | Listening and Reading methods. | Accuracy before time pressure. |
| Days 7–10 | Writing and Speaking criteria. | Complete tasks and recorded responses. |
| Days 11–14 | Feedback and targeted correction. | One clear action per repeated issue. |
| Days 15–17 | Retest corrections on new material. | Transfer without teacher prompts. |
| Days 18–20 | Timed receptive sections. | Question type and timing evidence. |
| Days 21–23 | Timed productive sections. | Criterion review under realistic limits. |
| Days 24–26 | First full computer mock. | Detailed review before another test. |
| Days 27–29 | Second decision-point mock. | Compare pattern not only the total. |
| Day 30 | Book extend or change focus. | Evidence deadline and contingency. |
What makes the MKS IELTS learning system different
Classroom teaching, revision, independent practice and longer support work as one system instead of separate add-ons.
Three learning modes
Choose physical, online or hybrid learning and confirm the current timetable that fits your routine.
Recordings for every mode
Physical, online and hybrid students can revisit lessons and catch up on missed work.
iOS and Android access
Continue structured IELTS practice beyond the live class through the MKS digital system.
Physical books
Use organised print materials together with digital practice instead of scattered files.
Six-month access
The eight-week guided course connects to six-month learning access and continued support.
Multiple suitable classes
Students needing more repetition may join suitable classes without another class charge.
Keep every section inside the same improvement loop
Attempt, diagnose, correct, repeat and retest. Your overall goal should never hide a required section minimum.
A balanced weekly routine
- Review Listening distractors, spelling and paraphrase recognition rather than only counting correct answers.
- Track Reading accuracy by question type and add timed sections only after the method is stable.
- Use the official Writing criteria to revise task response, organisation, vocabulary and grammar.
- Record Speaking answers and review fluency, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation without memorising scripts.
- Keep an error log and use the next mock to test whether the correction actually worked.
Before enrolment
- Confirm Academic or General Training and the required overall and section bands.
- Ask for the current timetable, fee, inclusions, teacher-feedback process and access period in writing.
- Test the commute, device, internet and study hours needed for the chosen class mode.
- Ask how the centre handles missed classes, weak skills and a test date later than the live course.
Before the official test
- Check the authorised test partner for current dates, locations, fees and delivery options.
- Use the same computer workflow and timing that you will face on test day.
- Book only after your reviewed practice evidence supports the planned date.
- Keep the application deadline and result-delivery time inside the booking decision.

Can I prepare for IELTS in 30 days?
You can organise focused improvement in a month if the target fits your starting level. Use a diagnostic and extend the plan when evidence remains below the requirement.
How many hours should I study IELTS each day for one month?
There is no universal number. Choose sustainable focused blocks that include practice, correction and retesting rather than counting passive hours.
Should I take a full IELTS mock every day?
No. Use targeted tasks and feedback, then schedule a small number of reviewed full mocks near decision points.
Which official resources can I use in a 30-day plan?
Use IELTS.org test-format pages, official sample questions, band descriptors and authorised partner preparation resources.
Will MKS guarantee a score after 30 days?
No. MKS can provide structured teaching, feedback, recordings, materials and app practice, but the official test determines the score.
