Eight weeks from baseline to decision

Use the longer window to fix causes rather than repeat symptoms

A 60-day plan creates space for learning between tests, but progress still depends on attendance, English foundation, deliberate practice and the quality of review.

Week 1 defines the route. Confirm the exact test type, overall and section minimums, application deadline and current booking options. Complete an official-style four-skill diagnostic, including a full Writing response and recorded Speaking sample. Save the work so later improvement is compared with the same categories rather than a vague impression.

Week 2 repairs the language and workflow foundations revealed by the diagnostic. Build paraphrase awareness, spelling, sentence control and reading habits around the actual error causes. Learn the computer interface and section timing from the official Academic sample experience when Academic is the required test. General Training candidates must use the correct Reading and Writing materials.

Weeks 3 and 4 develop repeatable methods. Practise Listening and Reading by question type, then combine sets. Review Writing against task achievement or response, coherence and cohesion, lexical resource, and grammatical range and accuracy. Record Speaking Part 1, the two-minute Part 2 long turn and the deeper Part 3 discussion, then apply feedback to new topics.

Weeks 5 and 6 test transfer under time. Move from controlled practice to full sections only after accuracy is stable. Complete a 60-minute Writing session with sensible task allocation and realistic word-count discipline. Review every timed task, classify the remaining errors and schedule a later retest. One corrected task is not enough unless the improvement appears independently.

Weeks 7 and 8 use spaced computer mocks and a decision log. Compare at least two reviewed results with the requirement, checking every section as well as the overall average. Practise test-day identification, arrival, headphone, typing and screen navigation routines. Book when the evidence and deadline align; otherwise continue the six-month access period and target the remaining gaps.

Start from evidence

Match the class plan to your current score profile, application requirement and realistic test date.

Review the feedback

Useful feedback explains the error, links it to an IELTS criterion and gives a concrete next practice step.

Prepare for delivery

Build language skill and the computer workflow together before a timed official test.

Practical comparison

Use this checklist before paying or booking

Ask the centre for current written information. The table turns general marketing language into verifiable questions.

MKS Education: This plan aligns naturally with the MKS eight-week guided course and continues through six-month access and support. Physical, online and hybrid students receive recordings for every mode, physical books and iOS or Android app practice. Students needing additional repetition may join multiple suitable classes without another class charge, subject to placement and timetable.
Connected support

What makes the MKS IELTS learning system different

Classroom teaching, revision, independent practice and longer support work as one system instead of separate add-ons.

Three learning modes

Choose physical, online or hybrid learning and confirm the current timetable that fits your routine.

Recordings for every mode

Physical, online and hybrid students can revisit lessons and catch up on missed work.

iOS and Android access

Continue structured IELTS practice beyond the live class through the MKS digital system.

Physical books

Use organised print materials together with digital practice instead of scattered files.

Six-month access

The eight-week guided course connects to six-month learning access and continued support.

Multiple suitable classes

Students needing more repetition may join suitable classes without another class charge.

Four-skill system

Keep every section inside the same improvement loop

Attempt, diagnose, correct, repeat and retest. Your overall goal should never hide a required section minimum.

Each skill needs practice, correction and evidence that the same error is less likely to return.

A balanced weekly routine

  • Review Listening distractors, spelling and paraphrase recognition rather than only counting correct answers.
  • Track Reading accuracy by question type and add timed sections only after the method is stable.
  • Use the official Writing criteria to revise task response, organisation, vocabulary and grammar.
  • Record Speaking answers and review fluency, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation without memorising scripts.
  • Keep an error log and use the next mock to test whether the correction actually worked.

Before enrolment

  • Confirm Academic or General Training and the required overall and section bands.
  • Ask for the current timetable, fee, inclusions, teacher-feedback process and access period in writing.
  • Test the commute, device, internet and study hours needed for the chosen class mode.
  • Ask how the centre handles missed classes, weak skills and a test date later than the live course.

Before the official test

  • Check the authorised test partner for current dates, locations, fees and delivery options.
  • Use the same computer workflow and timing that you will face on test day.
  • Book only after your reviewed practice evidence supports the planned date.
  • Keep the application deadline and result-delivery time inside the booking decision.

Build an IELTS plan around your real starting level

Bring your target country, course, required score, preferred test date and any previous result. MKS Education can help you choose a class mode and organise the next eight weeks of guided learning with six-month access and continued support.

Is 60 days enough for IELTS preparation?

It can be enough for some targets and starting levels, but there is no guarantee. Use the diagnostic and weekly evidence to decide whether to book or extend.

What should I do in the first week of a 60-day IELTS plan?

Confirm the requirement and test type, complete a realistic four-skill diagnostic and record the error causes and application deadline.

When should full IELTS mocks begin in a two-month plan?

Use them mainly after individual methods and timed sections are stable, usually in the later weeks, with detailed review between mocks.

How can I measure progress during 60 days?

Track raw accuracy by question type, criterion feedback in Writing and Speaking, recurring errors and repeatable timed section results.

What happens after the eight-week MKS course?

MKS connects the guided course to six-month access and continued support so learners can keep practising if the evidence needs more time.
