Full undergraduate funding in the UK is limited and highly competitive, but Nepali students can apply for university-funded international scholarships, automatic tuition discounts and need-based awards. Full scholarship versus partial scholarship

A full-tuition scholarship removes the tuition charge but may still leave accommodation, food, visa, Immigration Health Surcharge, flights, study materials and personal expenses. A fully funded award normally includes both tuition and specified living support, but the exact allowances and duration matter. A partial scholarship is usually a tuition discount and may leave most costs with the family.

Who can compete strongly?

Competitive merit awards usually favour excellent Grade 12 or A-level-equivalent performance, strong results in subjects relevant to the degree and evidence of initiative outside class. Nepalese qualifications are assessed by each university. April–August before the cycle: choose subject, prepare English testing and research universities with international undergraduate funding.

Answer the actual criterion

Show a credible academic direction

Connect school subjects, independent learning, relevant projects and the chosen degree. Describe what you want to investigate or build and why the university’s course structure supports that plan.

Use specific evidence

Quantify results where appropriate: students mentored, funds raised, research completed, event reach, prototype users or measurable improvement. Keep the focus on decisions and learning, not certificates alone.

Explain finances honestly

For need-based funding, present household income, dependants, education costs, assets, liabilities and available contribution consistently. Universities may request official evidence and translations. Do not hide another scholarship or sponsor.
