Eight guided weeks with extended access

GRE Course Duration and Six Month Access at MKS Education

Course duration should describe the live teaching phase, while access duration explains how long the student can revise, practise and receive continued support.

The scale is context, not a promise. Build evidence, feedback and a sustainable routine.
Separate teaching weeks from access months

A clear timeline protects both learning depth and application deadlines

Students should know what happens during the guided course, what continues afterward and which milestones show that the plan needs adjustment.

Start with the deadline rather than an arbitrary enrolment date. List the earliest official programme or funding deadline, the time needed for registration and score reporting, and a suitable test window. Then take an official-format diagnostic. The available calendar and the gap between current and target performance determine the intensity; students with large foundation gaps may need additional work before or after the core guided sequence.

ETS advises that study time depends on the learner and notes that many test takers prepare for one to three months. That is planning context, not a promise that every student will be ready in a fixed number of weeks. MKS uses eight guided weeks to organise diagnosis, concept teaching, question-type methods, timed sections, Writing feedback, mock review and next-step planning.

The current GRE should shape the sequence. ETS lists one 30-minute Analyze an Issue task, two Verbal sections with 12 and 15 questions timed at 18 and 23 minutes, and two Quant sections with 12 and 15 questions timed at 21 and 26 minutes. A course must build untimed accuracy first, then add section pacing and full official-format simulation without using the old longer structure as the main benchmark.

Six-month access supports spaced revision and schedule changes. Students can revisit recordings, continue organised app practice, use their physical books, maintain an error log and seek continued guidance after the main guided weeks. The exact live timetable, recording availability, platform access and support route should still be confirmed for the current batch. Extended access helps continuity but does not replace regular work.

Use milestone evidence rather than waiting for a calendar to end. Review Quant domain accuracy, Verbal question-type patterns, timed completion, Writing feedback and official POWERPREP results. If the same errors continue, return to the relevant lesson, practise a smaller targeted set, explain the correction and retest. Students needing more repetition may join a suitable class under the current MKS policy when schedule and seats allow.

MKS offers physical, live online and hybrid GRE classes so the eight-week guided plan can fit Kathmandu and remote learners. Recordings are available in every mode, and iOS, Android, web practice and physical books connect class to independent study. Six-month access and continued support give a student room to consolidate learning, but MKS does not guarantee a score, admission, scholarship, assistantship or funding.

Diagnose first

Use an official-format baseline and classify Quant Verbal and Writing errors before choosing weekly priorities.

Match the goal

Connect the test date and preparation schedule to official programme and funding deadlines.

Verify claims

Use ETS and official university pages for changing format, fees, dates and score-use policies.

Evidence table

Turn the comparison into checks you can verify

Use the same questions for every provider and save the written answer. A transparent system is easier to compare than a headline promise.

CheckWhy it mattersWhat to verify
Before week 1A plan needs baseline and deadlines.Diagnostic programmes earliest deadline and weekly hours.
Weeks 1–2Foundations reveal the main bottlenecks.Quant basics vocabulary sentence logic and issue structure.
Weeks 3–4Methods must cover current question types.Guided Quant Verbal and Writing practice.
Weeks 5–6Accuracy must transfer to timed work.Timed sections error classification and correction.
Weeks 7–8Readiness needs integrated evidence.POWERPREP mock review revision and test plan.
After guided weeksWeak areas may need spaced repetition.Recordings app books and targeted sets.
Up to six monthsApplication and test timing can shift.Learning access and continued support.
Physical modeRoutine and direct interaction help some learners.Current Putalisadak batch and seat.
Online modeRemote access needs live teacher support.Schedule platform recordings and questions.
Hybrid modeMode changes should preserve one plan.Switching process and shared progress record.
Suitable repeat classSome students need another explanation cycle.Schedule seat fit and no another class charge.
Outcome boundaryDuration does not control the official result. No score admission or funding guarantee.
MKS Education: MKS can map the eight guided weeks and six-month access to the student’s diagnostic and earliest application deadline, then confirm the current timetable and support route.
Connected preparation

What makes the MKS GRE learning system different

The live class, revision, independent practice and extended support work together instead of ending on the last teaching day.

Physical online and hybrid

Choose a suitable mode and confirm the current timetable for Kathmandu or remote learning.

Recordings in every mode

Physical, online and hybrid students can revisit difficult concepts and recover missed work.

iOS and Android practice

Use structured GRE practice and review through the MKS digital learning system outside class.

Physical books

Follow organised print material alongside app practice, teacher guidance and official ETS resources.

Eight weeks plus six months

Eight weeks of guided teaching connects to six-month learning access and continued support.

Multiple suitable classes

Students needing repetition may join suitable classes without another class charge, subject to schedule and seats.

Practical next steps

  • Take an official-format diagnostic before fixing a test date.
  • Map the eight guided weeks backward from the earliest realistic test window.
  • Set weekly Quant Verbal Writing and review milestones.
  • Use the six-month access for spaced correction rather than passive video watching.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Do not interpret six-month access as six months of identical live classes.
  • Do not assume eight weeks guarantees readiness for every baseline.
  • Do not postpone all official-format practice until the last week.
  • Do not continue taking full mocks without correcting recurring errors.
Current test context

Prepare for the GRE General Test students now take

ETS lists one 30-minute Analytical Writing task, two Verbal Reasoning sections and two Quantitative Reasoning sections in the shorter computer-delivered General Test.

Analytical Writing

One 30-minute Analyze an Issue task assesses clear ideas, reasons, examples, organisation and written control.

Verbal Reasoning

Two sections contain 12 and 15 questions with 18 and 23 minutes respectively.

Quantitative Reasoning

Two sections contain 12 and 15 questions with 21 and 26 minutes respectively.

Build your GRE plan from diagnostic evidence

Bring target programmes, the earliest deadline and a recent official-format diagnostic. MKS can organise an eight-week guided plan with flexible modes, recordings, app practice, books, six-month access and continued support.

How long is the GRE course at MKS Education?

The guided GRE course is structured for eight weeks, connected to six-month learning access and continued support. Confirm the current batch dates before enrolling.

Does six-month access mean six months of daily live GRE classes?

No. It describes the extended learning-access and support period connected to the eight guided weeks, including recordings, app practice and materials.

Can I join another GRE class if I need more repetition?

Students needing additional explanation may join multiple suitable classes without another class charge, subject to current schedules and available seats.

Is eight weeks enough for GRE preparation?

It depends on the starting diagnostic, target, weekly study time and deadline. Eight weeks provides a guided structure, but some students need additional foundation or consolidation time.

Can MKS guarantee a GRE score after the course?

No. MKS provides teaching, practice, feedback and support but cannot guarantee an official score, admission, scholarship or funding outcome.
