Graduate applicants should not infer eligibility from the undergraduate standard. A master’s program may require a relevant bachelor’s degree, minimum GPA, references, statement of intent, CV, portfolio, work experience or research alignment. Build the file against the program checklist and deadline, and do not submit a recycled statement that fails to explain the Halifax program’s specific academic value.

Undergraduate loads, specialised programs, residence, health coverage and personal choices differ, so the current detailed schedule and the applicant’s registration should determine the working budget.

Add housing, food, utilities, local transport, books, technology, insurance, winter clothing, flights and an emergency reserve. Compare residence and realistic Halifax-area rental options using current evidence. Keep tuition funds and living funds traceable and do not present expected part-time earnings as money required to begin study. Read payment deadlines, withdrawal rules and refund consequences before transferring funds.

IRCC’s current DLI list identifies Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax as a public designated learning institution. The listing shows institutional indicators, but IRCC warns students to verify program-level PGWP eligibility. Confirm the exact credential, duration and delivery format, and keep a dated record of the official result before paying a non-refundable amount.

Most applicants must review whether a provincial attestation letter is required, while defined exemptions can apply.
