University of Winnipeg for Nepali Students 2027: Courses Fees and Admission

UWinnipeg’s admission pages separate international, transfer, graduate and other applicant types. A student applying after Nepal Plus Two should use the current international first-year route and review the country credential listing. A student with college or university study must disclose it and follow transfer or graduate instructions rather than presenting the file as a new high-school application.

The country requirements page says international applications are assessed individually using both course grades and the combined transcript average. Some science and business majors require prior mathematics, chemistry or physics. Compare the intended major’s prerequisite sheet with Nepal subjects and grades before paying the non-refundable application fee.

Graduate applicants must use the relevant master’s page for degree background, GPA, references, statement, writing sample, CV or program-specific English. For every level, create a course-based progression explanation: show what the UWinnipeg curriculum adds to existing Nepal learning and how it supports a realistic career direction without depending on immigration promises.

The reviewed How to Apply page lists a CAD 120 non-refundable fee for an international undergraduate application. It says applications use the online portal and that the fee must be received before assessment begins. Verify the live amount and pay only through the authorised portal or university method.

UWinnipeg states that official transcripts should be issued by the school, university or college and sent directly from the institution’s official email to International Admissions, with specified alternatives when a school cannot email. Passport or name documents can be uploaded through the portal. Applicants who have been out of school for more than six months may need a complete educational history or gap form.

The same page recommends applying early and publishes term deadlines, while warning that late processing is not guaranteed. A deadline is not a promise of space or visa timing. Build backwards from the intended start date for transcript delivery, English results, assessment, deposit, PAL where required, financial documentation and the study-permit submission.

UWinnipeg’s reviewed English page lists IELTS Academic, Online and UKVI at a minimum overall band score of 6.5 for the covered programs. It also lists other accepted tests and pathways. English tests older than two years are not considered, and several named graduate programs direct applicants to their own program pages.

A waiver is not automatic for every student educated in English in Nepal. The official page describes defined waiver conditions and supporting evidence, and the university can request more documentation. Unless the applicant clearly meets a current condition and receives appropriate confirmation, plan for an accepted valid test.

English admission evidence should not be confused with later PGWP language requirements. IRCC applies its own rules at the time of a work-permit application. Keep the original score report and verify both the university standard before admission and any separate immigration standard before graduation.

The reviewed international tuition page states that a mandatory CAD 1,000 undergraduate deposit is applied to the student account. It says the official letter of acceptance and PAL are provided after the deposit is received within the described processing window. The applicant should verify the current sequence, eligibility and timing in the offer before payment.

UWinnipeg states that the mandatory undergraduate deposit is non-refundable except in the case of a study-permit refusal supported by the IRCC refusal letter. Do not pay if the student does not intend to study there. Use an official payment method, keep the receipt and understand that other registered-course or withdrawal refunds follow separate rules and deadlines.

Build the full budget from the exact course load and current fee schedule, then add Winnipeg housing, utilities, food, transit, books, insurance, winter clothing, travel and reserve funds. IRCC lists UWinnipeg as a public DLI, but exact program PGWP eligibility still needs confirmation. When a policy changes, compare the new instruction with the student’s application date, credential, institution, campus and personal status before deciding what applies. Do not silently replace an old document or reinterpret a rule from a headline.
