Cape Breton University for Nepali Students 2027: Courses Fees and Admission

CBU publishes international, country-specific and program admission information. A Nepali Plus Two or bachelor’s graduate should identify the exact degree, diploma or master’s credential, its Sydney delivery, duration, intake and prerequisite subjects. General undergraduate guidance notes a 65 percent overall benchmark for most credit programs, but program rules and capacity can be higher.

Use the official Nepal or applicable curriculum evidence when available and prepare official SEE, Plus Two, diploma and degree records relevant to the proposed level. Graduate applicants must use the individual master’s checklist for GPA, relevant degree, references, CV, statement, work experience or other supplements. A minimum result does not guarantee admission.

Explain progression at course level. Compare several required or elective CBU courses with what the student already studied in Nepal and identify the new knowledge or professional application. If the credential appears lateral or unrelated, document a credible bridge rather than relying on a broad claim about Canadian education or future migration.

CBU’s current language page lists a general IELTS Academic minimum of 6.5 overall with no individual band below 6.0. The same page lists IELTS 7.0 overall with no band below 6.5 for BSc Nursing and the Master of Healthcare Leadership and Innovation. Applicants must use the rule for the exact program and intake.

CBU also lists other tests, pathways and possible English exemptions. An exemption is evidence-based, not automatic because a Nepal institution taught in English. The reviewed page says official documentation such as a medium-of-instruction letter may be required and reserves the right to require proof. Nursing and MHLI have stricter terms and do not use the prior-study exemption described for general programs.

Check result validity, delivery format, overall score and every component before submission. If a score is provided despite an exemption claim and falls below CBU’s minimum, the university’s published guidance warns that it can make the application inadmissible. MKS should therefore review the actual result rather than assume that an MOI letter will replace it.

CBU’s reviewed 2026–2027 international table shows the cost structure by program and semester. For a typical general undergraduate 30-credit year, the displayed total was CAD 23,794.40, including listed tuition, international differential, medical plan and student fees. Accommodation and meal plans are expressly excluded, and additional course charges may apply.

The university also published a CAD 80 non-refundable application fee for new international undergraduate applicants and CAD 80 for graduate applicants at the time reviewed. Program totals differ substantially: specialised undergraduate and master’s credentials may have their own course load, one-time program fee, laboratory charges or schedule. Use the intended program row and verify it again before payment.

Build a Sydney living plan with current residence or rental evidence, food, utilities, local transport, books, health costs, winter clothing, flights and emergency funds. Do not treat the general undergraduate figure as a complete first-year proof-of-funds amount and do not rely on possible part-time earnings to close a funding gap.

CBU’s offer-acceptance process directs international students to pay the required deposit and request a provincial attestation letter when applicable. Confirm the amount and deadline in the live offer. The refund policy says all payments received before study can form the tuition deposit, so every transfer should be traceable and made only through an official method.

The reviewed policy provides different results for students not eligible for a PAL, students receiving a visa refusal, those choosing not to apply, those with an approved study permit and those enrolling before a final decision. Some eligible refunds carry a CAD 500 administration deduction, while a deposit can be fully non-refundable after permit approval in described circumstances. IRCC lists CBU as a public DLI, but students must still confirm the exact program’s PGWP position, duration and delivery. Prepare the LOA, PAL or exemption evidence, current funds and a truthful Nepal-linked study plan. When a policy changes, compare the new instruction with the student’s application date, credential, institution, campus and personal status before deciding what applies. Do not silently replace an old document or reinterpret a rule from a headline. If the effect is uncertain, pause payment or submission and obtain clarification from the responsible authority or a properly authorised professional.
