Vancouver School of Theology for Nepali Students 2027: Programs Fees and Admission

VST publishes the MDiv, MA in Public and Pastoral Leadership, MATS, ThM and graduate diploma, plus Indigenous and inter-religious awards and selected diplomas. It also participates in partnership programs. Record the exact award, issuer, entry qualification, length, specialization, campus requirement and delivery before applying.

The application hub describes VST as a postgraduate institution and normally requires an undergraduate degree for degree and diploma enrolment. Applicants should map their Nepal bachelor’s subjects, grades and research or professional background to the selected program. Advanced routes can require prior theological study and a strong academic writing sample.

The school’s curriculum is designed for Christian leadership while engaging Indigenous, inter-religious and global contexts. A credible rationale should discuss the actual curriculum, community and intended ministry, education, scholarship or social contribution. Do not select the program on the assumption that a Canadian job or post-study work permit will follow.

VST’s current degree and diploma checklist requires an online account, application essay, background and reference form, official degree transcripts and a CAD 80 non-refundable application fee. ThM and graduate-diploma applicants also submit an academic paper and statement of intent. Certificate programs are not available to international students.

VST does not publish one fixed deadline but strongly advises international applicants to submit early. Build time for official records from Nepal, certified translations, admission assessment, financial preparation and the study-permit process. Do not pay or travel until the exact offer, delivery and immigration documentation are confirmed.

The reviewed English baselines include IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with no component below 6.0 and DET 110 with components at least 95. TOEFL is 80 with published component minimums for basic degrees and 90 with higher components for advanced degrees. Use the exact live program rule and valid official result.

VST’s 2026–2027 table charges the same domestic and international tuition: CAD 320 per credit for basic diplomas and master’s programs, CAD 450 per credit for advanced ThM and graduate-diploma study and CAD 220 per credit for certificates. International applicants cannot use the certificate route.

Published total tuition includes CAD 7,680 for the Diploma in Theological Studies, CAD 15,360 for several 48-credit master’s programs, CAD 28,800 for the MDiv, CAD 5,400 for the graduate diploma and CAD 10,800 for the ThM. Add the CAD 30 per-credit registration and technology fee, student association charges and applicable UBC fees.

Metro Vancouver students taking more than three credits can be assessed UBC membership, health and dental and transit fees. International students also need adequate medical coverage. Add Vancouver housing, food, books, phone, winter and rain clothing, airfare from Nepal, permit costs and an emergency reserve. Work income is not a funding plan.

IRCC lists Vancouver School of Theology as private DLI O19407411913 in Vancouver and currently shows no PGWP-eligible programs. Applicants should save the current row and recheck it before accepting an offer, but must plan on the published no-PGWP position unless IRCC formally changes it.

A VST course offered on the UBC campus is not a University of British Columbia credential. Likewise, approved distance education does not create a Canadian post-study work route. Confirm which portion must be on campus, whether a study permit is required and how online study affects the academic and immigration purpose.

Prepare the genuine VST LOA, PAL where required, current funds, academic evidence and a truthful temporary study purpose that does not depend on PGWP access. When a policy changes, compare the new instruction with the student’s application date, credential, institution, campus and personal status before deciding what applies.
