Renison University College for Nepali Students 2027: Programs Fees and Admission

Students can enter the Bachelor of Arts in Social Development Studies or the newer SDS and Bachelor of Social Work double degree from high school. SDS combines psychology, sociology, social work and interdisciplinary study and sits within Waterloo’s Faculty of Arts.

Renison also publishes a post-degree BSW for students who already hold a bachelor’s degree, but says its final planned offering is 2028–2029 as the double-degree route develops. Confirm the selected intake, prerequisites, practicum, duration and whether a later cohort will still exist before planning.

The health-focused MSW requires a BSW or accepted equivalent and is primarily online, with its own full-time and part-time formats and a stated in-person summit. International applicants must assess professional recognition, delivery and immigration relevance rather than assuming a Canadian online degree creates the same route as campus study.

Renison International Programs include English for Academic Success and other language or short-term study. Record whether the offer is standalone English, a formal Waterloo pathway or direct degree admission, and obtain written progression conditions before presenting it as part of a longer study plan.

Post-degree BSW applicants need a completed bachelor’s degree and seven reviewed prerequisite courses or approved equivalents. The program offers defined on-site full-time and hybrid part-time formats with practicum learning, so confirm placement, attendance and professional-registration implications.

MSW applicants need an accredited BSW or recognized equivalent, a reviewed minimum 75 percent average in the final two years and required supporting evidence. A non-Canadian BSW must receive the specified Canadian Association of Social Workers equivalency assessment; no exception should be assumed.

EFAS uses Renison’s separate international-program portal and charges a non-refundable application fee and term deposit. Completing English study does not erase degree prerequisites or guarantee Waterloo admission, progression, a permit decision or PGWP treatment.

A Waterloo undergraduate degree student should use the exact September 2026 faculty tuition schedule. The reviewed Faculty of Arts estimate is CAD 58,000 in international tuition and incidental fees for two terms plus CAD 1,500 for books, while co-op and later years can differ.

Renison’s current 2026–2027 residence totals are CAD 15,701 for a traditional double, CAD 17,311 for a traditional single, CAD 16,118 for a link double, CAD 17,523 for a link single and CAD 18,103 for a limited single-occupancy double. The stated meal plan and fees are included.

Full-time EFAS totals CAD 6,091 in Fall 2026 or Winter 2027 and CAD 4,383 in Spring 2027, including the listed application fee, deposit, remaining tuition, student services and UHIP. Accommodation, travel and airport transfer are excluded.

Add airfare from Nepal, permit and biometrics charges, books where not counted, winter clothing, phone, local costs and an emergency reserve. Apply only the costs for the actual route and do not rely on work income, future progression or unconfirmed funding.

IRCC separately lists Renison University College as private DLI O19395281561 in Waterloo. The current row shows graduate-program indicator No and PGWP-program indicator Yes. Waterloo also has its own public DLI, so use the institution and number on the actual letter.

Match the exact degree or language program, credential issuer, duration, campus attendance, online component and full-time history. Review current language, field-of-study and location requirements. A residence offer, English course or online MSW must not inherit another Renison or Waterloo program’s treatment.

Prepare the genuine letter of acceptance, provincial attestation treatment for the exact level and institution, adequate funds and a truthful purpose. Where Waterloo issues the degree, obtain written confirmation of how Renison registration and the DLI appear across admission and immigration records.
