Knox College Toronto for Nepali Students 2027: Programs Fees and Admission

Knox offers three basic degrees—MDiv, MPS and MTS—plus the Certificate in Theological Studies. Advanced graduate options include MA, ThM, PhD and DMin through Toronto School of Theology graduate admissions. Applicants should distinguish a Knox basic application from the separate GCTS application system.

The Master of Psychospiritual Studies is a distinctive professional route with Spiritual Care, Jewish-focus and Social Services streams. Applicants must review academic prerequisites, clinical or field-learning expectations and the relevance of the credential to any Canadian or Nepal professional body rather than assuming psychotherapy registration.

The MDiv uses a hybrid format: introductory courses can be online while advanced formation is taught in person and clustered later. This flexibility can support some learners, but a Nepali study-permit plan must reflect actual required campus presence, total duration and the effect of distance components on immigration eligibility.

Knox’s MTS supports broad theological study, while its advanced degrees serve research or experienced ministry. Match previous study, vocational purpose and academic readiness to one route. A stronger title or longer program does not create admission, employment, ordination or immigration certainty.

Knox states that MDiv, MTS, MPS and CTS applications for 2026–2027 are closed and that the 2027–2028 application will open in September 2026. Use the waiting period to compare programs and gather documents, then follow the new form and deadline rather than copying an old checklist.

Prepare official Nepal degrees and transcripts, certified translations where required, passport-consistent identity, a focused statement of intent, current CV and references appropriate to the selected route. Ministry and psychospiritual programs can request different experiential evidence, interviews or professional references.

Current English requirements include TOEFL iBT 93 with minimum 22 in speaking and writing. IELTS Academic requires overall 7.0 for basic programs; graduate programs require 7.0 overall with at least 6.5 in each component. Knox does not accept IELTS General or Indicator and English results must be under two years old.

Applicants may qualify for a language-evidence exemption through defined previous education, but Knox reserves assessment. Ask admissions in writing before omitting a test. For advanced degrees, review the Toronto School of Theology requirements and deadlines because a Knox program page is not the complete graduate application.

Knox’s live tuition page still links to the official University of Toronto 2025–2026 international schedule. It lists CAD 3,018 per course unit for basic-degree programs such as CTS, MDiv, MPS and MTS. A three-unit load listed CAD 18,108 course fees before incidentals and UHIP.

The same historical schedule lists CAD 4,320 per ThM course unit, a CAD 8,975 DMin program fee for the applicable Fall term and CAD 27,530 Fall–Winter program tuition for full-time MA or PhD students. These figures belong to 2025–2026 and must not be called 2027 tuition.

Knox basic-degree students can apply for institutional bursary support during active Fall and Winter registration, while other fellowships and church awards have separate criteria. Funding is competitive or conditional. Do not subtract a bursary until a formal amount is awarded and accepted.

Add updated incidentals, UHIP, Toronto housing, food, books, transit, winter clothing, phone, airfare from Nepal, permit costs and emergency savings. When the 2027–2028 fee schedule appears, rebuild the budget from the exact course load and ACORN invoice before paying a deposit.

IRCC currently lists Knox College as private DLI O19859651317 in Toronto. Its row shows graduate-program exemption No and an institution-level PGWP indicator Yes. This does not make every Knox certificate, online component or program individually eligible.

Check the exact credential, issuer, duration, campus location, full-time status and online share after receiving the new offer. The hybrid MDiv and comprehensive distance-education approval require special care; do not assume flexible delivery has the same treatment as continuous on-campus study.

Once applications reopen, prepare the genuine letter of acceptance, correct provincial-attestation treatment, adequate current funds and a truthful study purpose. Explain Knox, Toronto School of Theology and University of Toronto relationships consistently across the offer, fee evidence and expected award.
