St. Jerome’s University at Waterloo for Nepali Students 2027

SJU’s current admissions material offers co-registration for Honours Arts and Honours Arts and Business. Students have the same Waterloo admission requirements and tuition, can take courses across the main campus and university colleges and graduate with a University of Waterloo degree.

Co-registration adds SJU-specific advising, wellness support, selected smaller Arts classes, scholarships, activities and residence priority. Record the exact Waterloo entry program, intended major, co-op choice, SJU co-registration and final degree wording before comparing options.

The college operates in a Catholic intellectual tradition while welcoming a diverse community. A Nepali applicant should evaluate curriculum, community expectations and service-learning opportunities honestly and should not invent a religious identity or use affiliation as the main reason for study.

Residence is open to students from all six Waterloo faculties. A Mathematics or Engineering student living at SJU remains in that faculty rather than becoming an SJU Arts student. Keep academic registration and housing status distinct in every application document.

Apply to an eligible University of Waterloo program using the current international process. Submit Nepal NEB Grade 12 subjects and results, every later post-secondary record, certified translations where required and passport-consistent identity by the published deadline.

Meet Waterloo’s current Arts English-language standard, including accepted tests, overall and component scores and validity. An English-medium letter or pathway should not be treated as accepted without live institutional confirmation and consistency with permit evidence.

Waterloo’s September 2026 estimate lists CAD 58,000 in international Faculty of Arts tuition and incidental fees for two terms plus CAD 1,500 for books and supplies. SJU states that co-registered students pay the same tuition, so do not add a second academic tuition amount.

SJU’s current 2026–2027 residence schedule totals CAD 18,974.47 for a single room or CAD 17,374.47 for a double room over the stated two terms. The price includes the all-you-care-to-eat meal plan, community programming, utilities, laundry and listed facilities and supports.

A CAD 500 residence deposit is credited toward fees under the published terms. Room preference is not guaranteed, and co-registered Arts students receive priority rather than an automatic room. Read the contract, cancellation rules and winter closure dates before accepting.

Add airfare from Nepal, permit and biometrics charges, insurance, winter clothing, phone, local travel and emergency funds. Scholarships, co-op income, part-time work and the preferred room type must not be essential to initial affordability because each remains conditional.
