Purpose before volume

A question bank supports improvement when each set tests a defined weakness and every error changes the next assignment

Random volume can make study feel busy while leaving the same concept, reasoning and pacing failures untouched.

Anchor practice in the current exam. Quantitative Reasoning contains 21 Problem Solving questions in 45 minutes without a calculator. Verbal Reasoning contains 23 Reading Comprehension and Critical Reasoning questions in 45 minutes. Data Insights contains 20 questions across five current families in 45 minutes with an on-screen calculator. The bank and filters must reflect these boundaries. Obsolete Sentence Correction or an old Integrated Reasoning section should not be counted as current core practice.

Give every set a diagnostic question. Examples include translating rate problems, controlling Critical Reasoning assumptions, finding Reading Comprehension support, testing Data Sufficiency counterexamples or reading Graphics Interpretation units. Select one or two closely related skills, a manageable number of questions and a difficulty level that permits genuine reasoning. Official mba.com materials allow custom practice by question type and difficulty. Use learning mode for method construction and a later timed set for execution rather than mixing explanation and speed from the first attempt.

Record more than right or wrong. For each wrong, guessed or slow correct answer, write the task, source of evidence, attempted method, specific failure, corrected reasoning, wrong-choice trap and a short prevention rule. Tag causes such as concept, translation, assumption, evidence, scope, unit, arithmetic, interface or timing. A correct answer based on luck or an invalid shortcut belongs in the review queue. A wrong answer corrected immediately but not retested remains an explanation, not demonstrated learning.

Build spaced correction. Rework the item without copying the explanation, complete two or three fresh questions testing the same principle and then revisit the skill after a delay. Raise difficulty only when the student can explain the method and apply it consistently. Mix skills after isolated accuracy becomes stable, then use a timed section checkpoint. Official guidance recommends using wrong answers as learning opportunities and understanding why the correct solution works, while custom sets help focus study on identified weaknesses.

Read performance data carefully. Accuracy without time can hide inefficient methods; speed without accuracy can hide guessing. Compare first attempts, review attempts and delayed retests. Track the percentage of questions guessed, the distribution of time, common traps and recurrence of error tags. Do not compare accuracy from sets with very different difficulty or selection rules as if they were equal. Reserve official full-length practice exams for broader checkpoints; question-bank practice should prepare and verify the corrections between those simulations.

MKS Education provides question-bank practice and error review through physical, online and hybrid GMAT classes in Kathmandu. Recordings are available in every mode, alongside iOS and Android app practice, physical books and teacher feedback. The guided course runs for eight weeks with six-month access and continued support. Students who need another suitable explanation may join suitable repeat classes without another class charge, subject to current schedules and seats. MKS does not guarantee a GMAT score, admission, scholarship, assistantship or funding.

Diagnose first

Use a current official-format baseline and classify Quant Verbal and Data Insights errors before choosing weekly priorities.

Match the goal

Connect the test date and preparation schedule to official programme and scholarship deadlines.

Verify claims

Use mba.com and official business-school pages for changing format, fees, dates and score-use policies.

Evidence table

Turn the comparison into checks you can verify

Use the same questions for every provider and save the written answer. A transparent system is easier to compare than a headline promise.

MKS Education: MKS can connect every question-bank set to diagnostic evidence, teacher review, recordings, app filters, physical-book exercises and a delayed retest so students practise causes rather than random volume.
Connected preparation

What makes the MKS GMAT learning system different

The live class, revision, independent practice and extended support work together instead of ending on the last teaching day.

Physical online and hybrid

Choose a suitable mode and confirm the current timetable for Kathmandu or remote learning.

Recordings in every mode

Physical, online and hybrid students can revisit difficult concepts and recover missed work.

iOS and Android practice

Use structured GMAT practice and review through the MKS digital learning system outside class.

Physical books

Follow organised print material alongside app practice, teacher guidance and official GMAC resources.

Eight weeks plus six months

Eight weeks of guided teaching connects to six-month learning access and continued support.

Multiple suitable classes

Students needing repetition may join suitable classes without another class charge, subject to schedule and seats.

Practical next steps

  • Define the skill and error cause before creating a set.
  • Use learning mode before timed execution when the method is new.
  • Log wrong guessed and slow correct answers with a prevention rule.
  • Retest with fresh questions before increasing difficulty.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Do not count random question volume as evidence of improvement.
  • Do not raise difficulty before the method becomes stable.
  • Do not copy explanations without reconstructing the reasoning.
  • Do not accept a guaranteed score from any question bank.
Current test context

Prepare for the GMAT exam students now take

GMAC lists three 45-minute sections, 64 questions and 2 hours 15 minutes of testing, plus one optional 10-minute break.

Quantitative Reasoning

Twenty-one Problem Solving questions test arithmetic, elementary algebra, logic and analytical problem solving without a calculator.

Verbal Reasoning

Twenty-three Reading Comprehension and Critical Reasoning questions test understanding and argument evaluation.

Data Insights

Twenty questions combine quantitative, verbal and data literacy across five current question families, with an on-screen calculator.

Build your GMAT plan from diagnostic evidence

Bring target programmes, the earliest deadline and a recent official-format diagnostic. MKS can organise an eight-week guided plan with flexible modes, recordings, app practice, books, six-month access and continued support.

How should I use a GMAT question bank?

Build focused sets from diagnostic evidence, review every uncertain response, retest the corrected method and increase difficulty only after stable accuracy.

Should I review a guessed answer that was correct?

Yes. A correct guess does not demonstrate a reliable method and should be reconstructed and retested.

What belongs in a GMAT error log?

Record the task, attempted method, error cause, correct reasoning, trap, prevention rule, timing and delayed-retest result.

Are more questions always better for GMAT preparation?

No. A smaller targeted set with deep review and fresh retesting can be more useful than random volume that repeats the same mistakes.

Can question-bank practice guarantee a GMAT score?

No. It can support skill development and diagnosis but cannot guarantee an official score, admission, scholarship or funding.
