• Search by degree level, field and intake rather than by the phrase “full scholarship” alone.

• Check whether the award is automatic, competitive or needs a separate application.

Check whether the award is renewable, the number of funded semesters, minimum GPA, credit-load requirement, housing condition and what happens after a programme change or leave. For assistantships, verify duties, weekly workload, tax implications, tuition remission, fees and health insurance. Ask the university in writing if any clause is unclear.
