Week 1 is diagnosis and orientation. Learn the current GMAT structure: Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Data Insights, with each section contributing to the Total Score. Complete an official practice exam under realistic conditions. Build an error log with question type, concept, decision error, time, confidence and correction. Set a working target only after checking current programme requirements and application timing.
Week 2 establishes methods and foundations. Review essential arithmetic, algebra and problem-solving processes for Quant; reading purpose, argument structure and evidence for Verbal; and information selection, tables, graphs, sources and sufficiency for Data Insights. Use short untimed official sets to practise a repeatable process. Explain why each wrong option fails and why the correct answer satisfies the task.
Weeks 3 and 4 develop section control. In Week 3, concentrate on the weakest high-impact domains from the diagnostic while keeping short maintenance sets in stronger areas. In Week 4, add mixed question types and controlled timing. Use section checkpoints instead of rushing every question equally. Review guesses and slow correct answers because they can reveal fragile methods that may fail under full-test pressure.
Weeks 5 and 6 integrate the exam. Alternate targeted repair with mixed timed sets across all three sections. Complete another official practice exam near the end of Week 5 or start of Week 6, then spend substantial time reviewing it. Compare accuracy, timing, confidence and review behaviour with the baseline. Change the plan only from evidence: return to concepts for repeated knowledge gaps or use pacing drills when the method is sound but slow.
Weeks 7 and 8 create test-day reliability. Complete final full-length official simulations with the intended section order, breaks and scratch-work habits. Do not take a mock every day. Review each simulation, rehearse the route and appointment details, confirm identification and permitted items, protect sleep and reduce new material. The final days should consolidate error patterns and decision rules, not chase a promised score through exhaustion.
