GMAT Quantitative Reasoning Course in Kathmandu

Anchor the course to the current official format. Quantitative Reasoning contains 21 Problem Solving questions and lasts 45 minutes. It tests arithmetic and elementary algebra applied to problems, with logic and analytical skill central to success. The current Quant section does not include Data Sufficiency, and candidates cannot use a calculator. A provider still teaching the old section mix is not aligned with the present exam.

Start with a diagnostic that separates knowledge from decision quality. Record errors in number properties, fractions, ratios, percentages, rates, averages, algebra, inequalities, word problems and interpretation, but also classify translation, assumption, setup, calculation, answer-choice use and timing. A student who knows the formula but builds the wrong relationship needs different instruction from one who lacks the concept.

Teach translation as a repeatable process. Identify the requested value, define variables, mark units and constraints, convert phrases into relationships and estimate the likely answer range. mba.com’s current Quant guidance recommends familiarity with arithmetic and algebra and using answer choices intelligently for approximation. Students should compare direct algebra, logical cases, back-solving and estimation, then choose the simplest valid path rather than a favourite method.

Build accuracy before forcing speed. Use short untimed official-format sets to make the process stable, then introduce controlled timing and section checkpoints. Review every wrong, guessed and slow correct answer. An error log should contain the original cause, corrected method, faster option and one fresh practice item. Repeating the same solution immediately can create recognition without transfer, so mixed later practice is essential.

Connect section practice to the full exam. Quant contributes to the current Total Score alongside Verbal and Data Insights. Include mixed weeks and full official simulations so Quant timing does not improve by neglecting other sections. Practise the intended section order, permitted note-taking and Question Review and Edit decisions under current official constraints. A section improvement target should be evidence based, not a promised raw score.
