Kathmandu comparison framework

The strongest course connects live teaching with independent review

Location can make attendance easier, but the learning design and feedback process determine whether class time becomes measurable progress.

Use the same comparison sheet at every centre. Record the diagnostic, teacher roles, class size, Quant and Verbal syllabus, Data Insights coverage, official practice, mock frequency, error-review process, class modes, recordings, app access, books and support end date. A consistent framework prevents a polished sales meeting from outweighing evidence about what students actually do between lessons.

Check whether the syllabus reflects the current exam. GMAC lists Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Data Insights as three equally timed 45-minute sections. Students can choose the section order and may review as many questions as time permits at the end of a section, but can edit up to three answers. Teaching should integrate these features into pacing rather than train an old four-section exam or promise that answer editing removes the need for careful first decisions.

Ask how Quant is connected to reasoning. The current Quant section uses Problem Solving questions based on arithmetic and elementary algebra, without a calculator. Verbal contains Reading Comprehension and Critical Reasoning rather than Sentence Correction. Data Insights brings quantitative, verbal and data literacy together, with an on-screen calculator available only in that section. A current centre should demonstrate these boundaries clearly.

Mock tests must reproduce a useful computer-delivered routine. Official GMAT practice exams use the current timing and adaptive design. After a mock, the institute should classify errors, teach missed concepts, assign focused questions and retest. Simply giving another full test can repeat the same mistakes and consume limited official forms without showing whether the correction transfers.

Kathmandu applicants often balance college, work, travel and application tasks. Compare commute time with the benefits of physical class, then verify whether online and hybrid teaching is live rather than only a video library. Confirm that recordings are available in every mode and that the student can switch or catch up under clear current rules. Ask how teacher questions are answered after a recorded lesson.

MKS Education at Putalisadak offers physical, online and hybrid GMAT learning, recordings across modes, iOS and Android practice, physical books, an eight-week guided course, six-month access and continued support. Students who require repetition may join suitable classes without another class charge, subject to schedules and seats. Students should check teacher fit, batch time and written inclusions before enrolling.
