Education Loan for UK Study from Nepal 2026

An education loan can support tuition and living costs only when the lender and evidence meet the Student-route finance rules.

Quick answer: Requirements differ by university and applicant. Use this guide to prepare, then confirm the exact course and visa rules before submission.

Eligible loan source

The loan must come from a government, government-sponsored student-loan company, or a regulated academic or educational loan scheme. For an overseas lender, the relevant official regulator must cover student lending.

What the loan letter must show

The letter must normally be dated no more than six months before application, identify the applicant, amount and student-loan purpose, confirm the lender’s status and state that release is not conditional beyond successful study admission. It must also explain when funds will be available or paid to the sponsor.

Plan beyond approval

Compare interest, collateral, disbursement, exchange-rate risk and repayment start date. Make sure the university deposit and visa timeline align with the bank’s release process.

Application checklist

  • Use evidence that matches your dates and claims.
  • Tailor the file to the exact university and course.
  • Keep names, dates, amounts and explanations consistent.
  • Retain the final submitted version for interview preparation.
  • Ask MKS Education for a sequence review before submission.
