Important: Laurentian publishes different tuition for standard, business, sports administration, engineering and other programs. An institutional DLI indicator is not a program guarantee.
Choose program and language

Confirm Laurentian credential delivery and prerequisites

Laurentian’s bilingual environment makes program language a core admission fact.

Laurentian’s international undergraduate page separates country-specific credential rules, faculty requirements and program language requirements. A Nepali applicant should record the exact credential, major, Sudbury or collaborative location, English or French delivery, intake and duration. Do not assume that every program is offered in both languages or at every listed location.

Compare Plus Two subjects, diploma or bachelor’s content with the program prerequisites. Architecture requires a portfolio and statement, while Nursing, Engineering and other programs can have specific subjects and earlier deadlines. Graduate applicants must open their program page for degree relevance, GPA, references, statement, CV, research or professional requirements.

Create a course-level progression case connecting Laurentian study with the student’s Nepal record and career direction. A credible plan identifies new technical, analytical or professional learning and realistic use after graduation. It should not depend on a promised job, permanent residence or an assumption that Northern Ontario location changes admission standards.

Use the international application deadlines and document portal

Laurentian distinguishes decision uploads from final official documents.

The reviewed international guide lists general September and January timelines plus earlier program deadlines. It directs applicants through the International Application form and then the myLaurentian portal. At the time reviewed, the official administrative-fee page listed CAD 156 for international undergraduate admission.

Documents uploaded to the portal can be used for an admission decision but are not necessarily official. Laurentian says applicants accepting a conditional offer must later provide official documents. Prepare accurate transcripts, test results, passport details and required supplements, and follow the final delivery instructions rather than treating an uploaded scan as complete.

The current English page lists IELTS Academic and One-Skill Retake at 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0 and says test scores are valid when completed within two years of application receipt. Verify program language and any higher standard. French programs require the applicable French evidence, and graduate programs can publish separate criteria.

Use Laurentian 2026–2027 international fee categories

Standard tuition does not cover every program or incidental cost.

Laurentian’s 2026–2027 international fee page lists standard undergraduate tuition of CAD 30,363.92 for 30 credits at the time reviewed. It separately lists Business Administration and Sports Administration at CAD 31,614 for 30 credits, and publishes other categories including Engineering.

The tuition figures exclude incidental and association fees, UHIP and possible course costs. The university also lists digital material and other administrative fees. Calculate the exact registered credits and program category, then add compulsory insurance, laboratory, online, association and student-service charges from the live account.

Add realistic Sudbury housing, utilities, food, transit, books, winter clothing, travel from Nepal and emergency funds. Do not use a tuition-only number as the total first-year budget or count possible employment as essential funding. Keep financial sources traceable and use only university-approved payment methods.

Review deposit and immigration

Separate acceptance deposit refund and PGWP checks

Paying the deposit has contractual consequences and does not secure immigration approval.

Laurentian’s application guide instructs admitted international students to accept the offer and pay the tuition deposit. The published deposit policy controls the current amount, deadlines, application to tuition and refund evidence. Read it fully and use the official refund request process if applicable; do not assume every withdrawal or visa outcome produces a full refund.

IRCC lists Laurentian University as a public DLI and also shows a Northern College collaborative location. Match the exact offer and delivery location to the current row and confirm the specific program’s PGWP position. Institutional status does not replace credential, duration, delivery, field-of-study, language and student-compliance rules.

Use the valid LOA, PAL or exemption evidence where required, current proof of funds and a truthful Nepal-linked study purpose. MKS Education can review program fit, document consistency, fees and the permit timeline. Laurentian and Canadian authorities make all decisions; no admission, scholarship, permit, job, PGWP or residence outcome is guaranteed.

Keep a dated evidence file before submission

A search result or counselling note can become outdated between shortlisting and application. Create one folder containing the official pages relied on, the date each page was checked, written answers from the institution, the final fee and refund terms, and the exact application files submitted.

When a policy changes, compare the new instruction with the student’s application date, credential, institution, campus and personal status before deciding what applies. Do not silently replace an old document or reinterpret a rule from a headline. If the effect is uncertain, pause payment or submission and obtain clarification from the responsible authority or a properly authorised professional.

This evidence trail also improves counselling quality. The student and family can see which facts are confirmed, which are estimates and which remain conditional. MKS Education uses this approach to support transparent education planning while leaving admission and immigration decisions with the relevant institutions and Canadian authorities.
